Due to a material that is no longer manufactured, Celerydon is temporarily unavailable. SMC is hard at work researching, testing and developing a new formula and plans to bring it back-better than ever!

A beautiful celery green finish with lots of depth. With multi-colored specks, Celerydon easily highlights textures on your piece's surface. It's pleasant green color will deepen and sometimes show gold/purples on any of our red-colored clays (249, 255 or 328), and appear frosty greenish/brown on our Black Raven Stoneware (333). Dinnerware, microwave and oven-safe when applied appropriately and fired to Cone 6 (oxidation). Often turns a light, fluid blue color in reduction (gas) kilns.

Application tips: Apply one (1) dipped coat or 2-3 brushed coats on clay that has been bisque-fired to Cone 04 (glaze application should be approximately the thickness of a dime). We always recommend rinsing your bisqueware with clean water a few minutes prior to glazing. This will encourage better glaze adhesion and a smoother application. Always allow adequate drying time between coats or layering glazes.
