Buttered Popcorn

#407 Buttered Popcorn

A subtle, sheer yellowed-clear glaze that easily modifies other glazes-the perfect clear for clays typically "cooled-off" by clear glaze. Buttered Popcorn's subtle, translucent color will maintain the warmth of our 216 Tan Speck, any of our red-colored clays (249, 255 or 328), and works beautifully as a glossy clear on our Black Raven Stoneware (333). Works amazing well as a modifier, without causing additional movement from your base glaze. Dinnerware, microwave and oven-safe when applied appropriately and fired to Cone 6 (oxidation or reduction).

Application tips: Apply one (1) dipped coat or 2-3 brushed coats on clay that has been bisque-fired to Cone 04 (glaze application should be approximately the thickness of a dime). We always recommend rinsing your bisqueware with clean water a few minutes prior to glazing. This will encourage better glaze adhesion and a smoother application. Always allow adequate drying time between coats or layering glazes.

Layers especially well with:
#408 Egg Cream

#451 White Russian
#462 Leopard Agate
#473 Edamame
