451 Toasty Woodfire

451 Toasty Woodfire Stoneware is a creamy off-white clay. 451 textures and alters nicely, it provides a great surface for carving or stamping. Ideal for throwing and handbuilding, Toasty Woodfire holds its shape when used to create taller and wider pieces, and takes attachments with ease. Contains traditional crushed-brick fine grog, which adds strength to this plastic body. Its subtle color should not change a glaze's fired color. Toasty Woodfire vitrifies (becomes water-tight) at Cone 6, and can be fired up to Cone 12 in oxidation or reduction (light tan at Cone 10). Ideal for wood firing.
