271 Whitehawk Stoneware

271 Whitehawk Stoneware is a stark white-colored clay. Ideal for throwing and handbuilding, Whitehawk easily holds its shape when used to create taller and wider pieces, and takes attachments with ease. Enough texture to build, throw or slab larger/wider shapes, but still smooth enough for carving and stamping. Whitehawk textures and alters nicely. Its crisp white color is a perfect canvas for glazes to show bright, sharp and accurate colors. Whitehawk vitrifies (becomes water-tight) at Cone 6, and can be fired up to Cone 10 in oxidation or reduction.
