249 Chocolate Stoneware

229 Chocolate Stoneware is a deep, chocolate brown clay. Great for throwing and handbuilding, is very plastic and is smooth enough for great surface texture and design. Ideal for windchimes and bells, Chocolate Stoneware creates a beautiful ring when fired to cone 6. Marbles well with 333 Black Raven. Its rich brown color will warm most glazes and the clay's color will show through sheer glazes. Chocolate vitrifies (becomes water-tight) at Cone 6, and can be fired up to Cone 8 in oxidation or reduction.
